When I booked my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I expected stunning reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But then I discovered something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **A Shipwreck Dive**. My pulse jumped. This was more than a typical dive; this was exploration into the past.

I have to admit, I felt nervous. Diving a wreck is serious business. But the team at **Amadive Con Dao Dive Center** were incredible. The PADI guides gave us an excellent briefing. We covered our safety procedures, the history of the sunken ship, and what we would see. Being in such a small group instantly made me feel confident.

Going down was magical. First, it's a shadow in the distance, then suddenly the structure came into view. It is enormous. It's now a bustling new home, draped in corals and swarming with fish. I spotted giant groupers hiding from the hull, and schools of fusiliers patrolling the superstructure. The feeling of gliding next to this silent, ghostly structure is indescribable—haunting, awe-inspiring, and humbling all at once. It's a time capsule on the seabed.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) coming to Con Dao and looking for something more the standard reef, I cannot urge you this **dive** enough. It was the absolute highlight of my Vietnam trip.
